Hi there, I am trying to install ungoogled-chromium but it wasn't available via apt search. So I asked on their support forum and they told me it's available via Flatpak for aarch64 but I don't really understand how to go about it. Novice user here
<canadian>
Can anyone help me install ungoogled-chromium ?

Thanks, hmm, I followed Grok's instructions because I was asking if there was a GUI interface I could browse, it had me install gnome-software and a gnome-software-plugin-flatpak which went fine, I launched the new gnome-software app, searched for ungoogled-chromium and indeed it was available for download and says via flathub. It completed the installation as well -- but I can't find it anywhere!
<canadian>
It's not in any menu I can find
<canadian>
and the notification asking me if I wanted to launch it, disappeared before I can click it!
<canadian>
Also how do I delete the included 'chromium web browser' that came with the Armbian installation? it doesn't work
<canadian>
clicking it does nothing, never loads.
<canadian>
Okay sorry I got rid of that with 'apt remove chromium'
<Herc>
apt autoremove will usually give you some more free space after "remove" or "purge"
<canadian>
thank you! I'll try that! Also I fixed the missing icon problem, I had to log out and re-log in
<canadian>
I guess flatpak installations don't automatically integrate to my desktop for some reason
<Herc>
flatpack is an Ubuntu thingie, I never used it, so no help from me, sorry
<canadian>
It's the only way I could find to get ungoogled-chromium unfortunately on Armbian
<canadian>
They don't make aarch64 downloads available via github (which makes no sense because there's macOS arm64 and Windows arm binaries)
<canadian>
Linux though is strangely absent, but, this Flathub thing has them
<canadian>
More good news to report.. ungoogled-chromium works fine with web.whatsapp.com
<canadian>
firefox doesn't.. after a couple minutes it forces logout with an "out of storage" error even though I'm only at 30% disk usage
