Just curious, is there any easy quick way to get Jellyfin client up and running?

on Gnome

I searched Synaptic for 'jellyfin' and 0 results

[Discord] <patchie2> Yes. But i mean, it should be possible to sort at least.
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <Werner> Sorting is a new search query I assume so the limit applies as well. Once you made a few approved posts you'll automatically promoted to member status which lifts search restrictions.
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <patchie2> yep, or if you change the limit to 2 searches for newbies. that was the request i was looking for
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <Werner> I'll look into later today if possible

[Discord] <txhub> Hi everyone,
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <txhub> I'm using an Orange Pi R1 running Armbian, and I'm facing a strange issue. When I connect to Wi-Fi/Ethernet Cable and reboot the device, everything works fine — the network comes up and I can SSH into it without any problems.
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <txhub> However, after installing Tailscale and rebooting, the Orange Pi no longer connects to Wi-Fi/Ethernet Cable. It feels like Tailscale is interfering with the network stack after the reboot. Has anyone experienced this? Any advice on how to keep Wi-Fi working after installing Tailscale?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <Werner> My first guess would be to check if tailscale is using the same subnet as your wifi/lan. No clue what their default is
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <txhub> Thanks for your input! I haven’t yet checked if Tailscale is using the same subnet as my Wi-Fi/LAN. Could you please suggest how I can verify this on my Orange Pi R1 running Armbian? Also, if there are any common conflicts or typical default subnets that Tailscale uses which might clash with a local network, that info would be very helpful.

[Discord] <Werner> ip a

[Discord] <Werner> for basic network adapter check. I don't use tailscale, so no clue further

[Discord] <txhub> this is `ip a` before installing tailscale, should I install it? if i install it and the network don't work anymore i need to reinstall the OS again because i do not have access to the SD card through windows
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <Werner> Use a serial console to access the device without network.

[Discord] <tenkawa42> Do you not have a uart cable?
Tenkawa has left #armbian [Was I really ever here?]
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <laibsch> @txhub can you access the device at all after installing tailscale or do you have to reinstall from scratch?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <tenkawa42> With tailscale being a network centric application... I'm not surprised its changing/de-misconfiguring an existing configuration... that's why its critical to have a serial console.
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <tenkawa42> Especially since it has no onboard video

[Discord] <txhub> nope, i have only USB => MicroUSB cable
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <txhub> if i restart it i need to reinstall from scratch, if i do not restart it it will work until restarting
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <txhub> if i restart it i need to reinstall from scratch, if i do not restart it it will work until restarting (`reboot`)
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <txhub> without tailscale reboot works okay
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <tenkawa42> Without the proper debugging tools its very hard to proceed and for a unit like that a uart cable is tool #1 to have...
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <txhub> there's no other way?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <txhub> i bought it today
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <txhub> i bought the Orange Pi R1 today
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <txhub> with raspberry pi's i didn't have any issue with this
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <tenkawa42> Which RPI?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <txhub> I have Raspberry Pi 0 and Raspberry Pi 3B+
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <txhub> it works well in both
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <tenkawa42> Did you run Armbian on them or RPIOS packages?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <txhub> Nope, i use raspberry Pi OS inside them
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <tenkawa42> Big difference then...
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <txhub> i hope there's any other way :(((((((
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <txhub> what if i take the SD card and i put it on my main computer and i read the files?
