<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <asdosjani> It says nvme limited to 2 PCIe lanes
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <asdosjani> The SSD is working, I can use it on a windows machine with usb adapter
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <asdosjani> Which odd is the crystaldiskmark speed test results. 400-450MB/s both for read and write
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <asdosjani> Can it be limited by the usb3 adapter?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <Werner> That limit would make sense for a ssd since sats3 is limited to around 600mb/s
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <mecoblock> 4 lane m.2 is pretty much the standard I'd say but it always depends on the model. Samsung has ones that are 4 lane gen 4 and 2 lane gen 5 in the same m.2

<tabris>
@asdosjani: USB3.0 is typically limited to 5Gbit/sec [yeah, there's also 10Gbit and 20Gbit modes, but those require USB-C, which you haven't said]
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <mecoblock> @tabris 10Gbit actually also is compatible with USB-A, only starting from 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20Gbps) it should be usb-c
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <tenkawa42> Yes.. but is that usb adapter "specificly" for sata or nvme? They are different...
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <tenkawa42> Some do support both... but you need to know if it does or not... I have about 5 here and none support both

[Discord] <asdosjani> for both
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <asdosjani> at least when i bought it the description said
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <tenkawa42> Yeah then its going to be hard to isolate much "just" using that adapter
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <tenkawa42> (usually they are one or the other so its easier to debug specific drive issues)

[Discord] <mecoblock> displayport should work on all vendor branch images
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <dastier69> you would figur as the board is about 2 years old that it would al be mainline by now
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <dastier69> I will go dig the mainline kernel
