Hello. I'm trying to pipe down a MPEG Dash (.mpd manifest) that is encrypted with Widevine. I have KID and KEY information. How do I pass those keys to ffmpeg to decrypt the stream?

<apteryx>
they have the same reproducer, and the same result
<apteryx>
well, slightly different; on my side I needed to enable vulkan support to trigger the amdgpu driver crash, otherwise ffmpeg would just segfault alone
<apteryx>
maybe you'd like to know about the segfault, if I can reproduce that?
<JEEB>
that's vaapi specific, while you're trying to utilize vulkan hwdec interfaces? (the backing hardware interfaces are the same, but two different APIs to access the same hardware)

<apteryx>
vulkan stuff seems to happen transparently, I'm specifying -hwaccel but I see a vulkan message about 'no derive for vulkan' or similar
<JEEB>
well if you built with libplacebo then ffplay will be using libplacebo and most likely vulkan for rendering
<JEEB>
that is separate from hwdec
<JEEB>
also `ffmpeg -v verbose -noauto_conversion_filters -hwaccel vulkan -hwaccel_output_format vulkan -i INPUT -map 0:v:0 -f null pipe:` is how you can check how just plain decoding works
<JEEB>
(I think that is the hwaccel and the output pix_fmt name)
<apteryx>
yes I built with libplacebo
hbbs has quit [Quit: bye]
<apteryx>
the command you shared seems to happily decode a H264 video
<apteryx>
this also appears to proceed without errors: $ ffmpeg -v verbose -noauto_conversion_filters -hwaccel vaapi -hwaccel_output_format vaapi -i ~/Downloads/test.mp4 -map 0:v:0 -f null pipe:
