Hello folks, I just started using git-pages on codeberg and I noticed that the cache-control has max-age set to only 60 seconds. Is it possible to change that?

सिर्फ春: it is not possible. can you elaborate on why you'd like to have it changed?

Catherine: It's just that I don't update my site very often, so by increasing the time limit I thought I can load pages faster for people.
<whitequark[cis]>
it won't be faster because of the other cache-control option
<whitequark[cis]>
the revalidation of freshness happens in the background

Oh I see. Thanks for the link!

_bifrost_sirfhar: we have spent quite a bit of time looking for a balance between "new content appears as soon as it's updated", "bandwidth isn't wasted", and "server resources are not overused"
<whitequark>
this specific cache-control configuration hits all three goals. though I admit that it's obscure enough that it should probably be documented somewhere
