would anybody i know be willing to donate DDR4 RAM for a bare metal CI server i'm building, for Glasgow, Amaranth, and other projects i'm migrating off GitHub? it would have to be two or four pairwise identical DDR4 sticks of at least 8 GB in size each to make sense for the setup I'm building and its requirements

I have an i7 7700k with mainboard and 64GB RAM (1x 32GB) if you're interested... it's currently running but mostly unused. Would need to figure out extraction, but not impossible.

potentially even open to hosting it, and leaving it physically in place if that's also interesting to you

(I'd want to check the M.2 health, but a VM on top of this works too... open to discussion)

*2x 32GB (oops)

I've got an offer I'm working out the details of! I can set up a new Forgejo Actions runner in minutes though so that also sounds attractive

if you can provision a VM with RAM ballooning it's something I can just add to the CI fleet (at least until the RAM gets here... right now there's nothing I can build yowasp packages on aside from github)

sure - I'll try and look into this tomorrow, though realistically it may be Tues/Weds

what distro would you want installed? and could you share a public ssh key? (email is fine)
