<marex> Tartarus: seems the CI build failed on 2026.07, but maybe that is simply the gitlab flakiness

<Kwiboo> Tartarus: what are the plans for dts/upstream now that v2026.07 is released? looks like the v7.1-dts tag is missing in upstream, howerver e8613e1cf44541aa3f22e5ac52ac63138cb4aa15 seem to be the commit v7.1-dts should/would point to (the commit I pulled for my local tree)
<Kwiboo> for rockchip there is going to be "Duplicate label 'otp'" issues on rk3528 and rk3568 following pulling in v7.1-dts, due to node name being different in dts/upstream and soc -u-boot.dtsi, is this something you will fix during dts/upstream merge or should I send a node rename patch ahead of time?

<qschulz> Kwiboo: if you can send a patch, it would avoid Tartarus having to figure out what the proper fix is (whatever he decides to do, pick your changes as a separate patch or part of the merge commit), so I'm guessing it'd be most welcome

<qschulz> Kwiboo: can you contact the devicetree-rebasing people and tell them the v7.1-dts tag is missing? Considering they have v7.2-rcs already, I think they just forgot :)
<qschulz> Kwiboo: mmmmm https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/devicetree/devicetree-rebasing.git/log/, Merge tag 'v7.1-dts-raw' commit is after a few commits for 7.2...
<Kwiboo> qschulz: sure, I will send a patch and send an email to Ian :-)
<Kwiboo> qschulz: yeah, the ui seem to show commits in date/time order not commit order, git log e8613e1cf44541aa3f22e5ac52ac63138cb4aa15 seem to just show 1 commit after v7.1-rc7-dts

<marex> rfs613: yes, for a while, the gitlab server is being migrated slowly too
<marex> Tartarus: hmm ... gitlab can do push-mirroring, even the community edition ... can the maintainer repo actually push-mirror itself into the new gitlab instance using PAT ? :)
<Tartarus> marex: I don't see the point tho
<Tartarus> Esp since a problem with source.denx.de is that it's being hammered by scrapers
<Tartarus> If you want both up to date, you can list multiple pushurl's in your .git/config
<Tartarus> My "origin" now pushes to 4 places, for example
<Tartarus> (my github, github/u-boot, source.denx.de, git.u-boot-project.org)
<marex> Tartarus: take the old server content and have the old server replicate its content verbatim to the new server. once
<marex> Tartarus: I can also do local git clone --mirror of the old server and push the whole thing to the new one, but that seems like unnecessary and error prone step
<Tartarus> marex: Yes, there's an option for it, but due to the hammering, it times out
<Tartarus> And there's not so much content there we need to ensure moves over I think
<Tartarus> wdym? Just push your branches to the new location
<marex> git repo, branches, tags ?
<marex> anything else ?
<Tartarus> Anything else where? I'm lost, sorry
<Tartarus> I already for example pushed the tags to the new repository too
<marex> take the PXA repo, that is ancient and it is there only for archival purposes
<marex> I dont think I have the latest state of it locally
<Tartarus> Then why bother? There shouldn't be anything in it, that's not merged.
<marex> but I would like to be sure it is not lost, if anyone ever needs it, for whatever reason
<Tartarus> source.denx.de isn't going anywhere
<Tartarus> Yet, anyhow
<Tartarus> Once we have people moved over in general, if someone wants to spend some time making sure historical repositories are copied over, great
<Tartarus> But also, there shouldn't be any non-upstreamed content in them either
<Tartarus> So, it's not a priority
<marex> errr ... I literally just wrote how the repositories on source.d.de can be push-mirrored to the new server, trivially ...
flokli has quit [Quit: WeeChat 4.9.2]
flokli has joined #u-boot
<Tartarus> Except it's not trivial, because it times out, because of the AI scraper load. I already tried the PAT mirroring option for the main repository
<Tartarus> If you'd like to take charge of doing it, I can grant you whatever permissions you need on both servers.
niska has quit [Quit: Leaving]
<marex> that push mirroring with PAT does not need any additional permissions, don't worry
