[Discord] <juanesf91> It's working on my board. Could it be a different chip revision or a change in versions? I've previously looked at the schematics for both versions and can't find any differences. I'm going to review the lines involving the MMC and the pins in question with the Wi-Fi chip.

[Discord] <juanesf91> Could it be the SD card that's damaged? Do you have another one to try?

[Discord] <c0rnelius77> Check out the wifi_pwrseq in the sun55i-t527-orangepi-4a.dts and the mmc1 node. Reviewing the schematic it seems to use the same gpio reset.

[Discord] <c0rnelius77> I've never not seen something that didn't need the reset and in the seq.

[Discord] <c0rnelius77> The BT reset is on PM2. Might not be needed but it doesn't hurt looking into.

[Discord] <rogandawes> @juanesf91 Some significant differences in the firmware being loaded. I guess I have different hardware in my 4GB version, which was pre-ordered in December/January. Will try my 2GB version which arrived last week.

[Discord] <rogandawes> Yeah, WiFi works fine on my recent 2GB board. Sigh.

[Discord] <rogandawes> Not SD card related, I used the exact same uSD card in the 2GB board.

[Discord] <rogandawes> Turns out the official radxa builds do have functioning WiFi, so I guess the next step is to compare them and see what the differences are.

[Discord] <rogandawes> FWIW, I find mini-stereo jacks quite handy for connecting to serial consoles. Going with the FTDI-3v3-AJ pinout (T=Tx, R=Rx, S=Gnd). I also had some nice low-profile sockets that fit almost perfectly (just a small angle required to clear the M.2 socket) into one of the spare antenna holes of the metal case. So now my boards can be properly protected, and still let me access the console!

[Discord] <juanesf91> This is 2gb 1.2 versión?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <rogandawes> No, that was the 4GB version, was supposed to be a comparison with yours.

[Discord] <juanesf91> You can check the motherboard model, the amount of memory, and whether Wi-Fi is working.
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <juanesf91> Mine, for example, is version 1.1 with 2GB RAM and working Wi-Fi.
