[Discord] <mecoblock> but RK3576 can only do UFS 2.0 speeds
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <mecoblock> Should be even faster with the Allwinner based Cubie A7A (UFS 3.0) or Dragon Q6A (UFS 3.1)

[Discord] <gin_kage> If I understand correctly, this is going to be somewhat confusing. Previously, we had eMMC modules that only utilized the bottom connector (the upper one was there basically for mechanical stability), and now we have a UFS module that basically only utilizes the top connector. Some boards (4D, Q6A, A7A) will be able to work with both kind of modules, but some (high-end boards, li <clipped message>

[Discord] <mecoblock> UFS is sadly not backwards compatible to EMMC so it makes sense that it requires new hw to support it. Also it isn’t NVMe so you can’t just use it with the typical USB to NVMe adapters. I have that new usb reader that supports both and it’s fast but I still prefer the rkdeveloptool option (which still works) here. Not sure if other vendors have it as great so the usb adapt <clipped message>

[Discord] <mecoblock> er is a nice fallback. I also saw that Friendlyelec is doing the same with the UFS module not sure if they’re interchangeable with Radxa's
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <mecoblock> The SoC needs to explicitly support UFS so that usually is the make or break factor
