I've already sent my own PR to torvalds with this included, but should be able to send a first fixes branch before the end of the merge window. It looks like the only difference was the dropped 'numa-node-id' properties, so maybe send a follow-up patch for those

Hello, I wrote a driver and sent it to the ML.

I got some comments on my includes, some seems wrong and some seems lacking, yet I didn't get any error during my build nor any robot report.

So I wonder if there is any rule or tool to find the right includes easily in a limited number of steps. I found ./scripts/checkincludes.pl but it seems only report duplicates.

Indeed building for an other arch can help but it takes time, and I always do W=1 in my command

The basic rule seems to be to get the symbol directly from its header definition but sometimes the compilation works and you are lacking one as it is already included in one of the include

oh yeah there has been a push from some maintainers to reduce the size of headers to improve compilation speed

and part of that is explicitly including headers where possible so that header can be removed from other headers

IMO this sort of thing should be done when actually removing the included header, but that's not their opinion
