pitillo just saw your name pop up in a PR for dgop, I see you're on the cutting edge of things ;)
<pitillo>
LOL it's a sheet PR r0ni.... but if the maintainer can check it and confirm, I think it's great for everyone
<r0ni>
he added it new release
<r0ni>
i've been using the dankmaterialshell that dgop is part of and its really rather nice
<r0ni>
it's taken niri from a nice wm to a must-have wm
<r0ni>
i keep meaning to make ports for quickshell for crux, i just haven't yet, need to dig up my hyprland ports too
<pitillo>
great he added to the new release... I've created a new PR because I've seen he's using sudo inside the Makefile on the install/uninstall targets... and I don't understand why, so let's see if he can check and tell me about
<pitillo>
I've found it today and I liked it was written in go.... so I can check a bit the code...
<pitillo>
I don't know about niri, let's see...
<pitillo>
lol
<pitillo>
are you putting hands on hyprland?!?!?!
<r0ni>
niri is a "paper-like" wm
<r0ni>
i made a port waaaaay before all the drama lol
<r0ni>
but tbh i don't like hyprland, it just isn't anything I like about tiling wms
<pitillo>
on wednesday I did a research about it and created a bunch of ports for all the stuff... releases ones and git ones.... but it requires gcc 15
<r0ni>
ooh yeah that may have been why i dropped it, its in my retired folder... that makes sense now
<pitillo>
I was thinking in if could be am option for ARM/RiscV stuff... I would like to put hands on these devices and go a step ahead with X/Wayland stuff
<pitillo>
so the hyprland was just an excuse to prepare some future tests....
<pitillo>
(afk) the dogs want to take me for a walk...
<r0ni>
once i found niri it began using it over sway, which i also think is top tier on wayland, but niri just keeps getting better
<r0ni>
hyprland is just drama fodder for kiddies
<pitillo>
yeah, it's possible... no idea about it, but we'll see on a future....
