<taleon>
more is a simple tool that displays the elements of a list one by one. It stops after each element and waits for input. If you just hit ENTER, more continues with the next element, otherwise (usually I type a dot (.) followed by ENTER) it terminates.
<taleon>
Strangely enough, no matter what I enter, more always continues with the next element. I cannot enter a dot (.) to terminate.
<taleon>
I thought it was my terminal, but it doesn't work no matter which terminal I test it in.

Hi taleon! IIRC this changed a little. Best is ESC to stop it.
<taleon>
Hello. Ah, I see. Thanks for letting me know. :-)
<abu[7]>
I see it was changed 4. Dec. 23
<taleon>
I'm currently working through the tutorial. To be honest, I've never worked with this before and am learning a lot. :-)

"Use 'key' instead of 'line' (because of GNU readline behaviour change)" in @doc/ChangeLog
<abu[7]>
Good to hear :)
<taleon>
My problem with learning is always that there is too much information. Somehow, I can never find the way that allows me to work with it and make progress. I end up reading a lot and understanding very little, because I can't remember it all. That's why I want to try the tutorial. Learning by doing, so to say. :-)

Yeah, info overflow everywhere
<bjorkintosh>
misinformation overflow.
<bjorkintosh>
a lot more of that then the useful stuff.
