<Ireozar> Did someone really just spam the repo with a bunch of AI-generated issues? I actually don't see why anyone would want to do that (also hi y'all, been using River for a while now, but my first time speaking in here).

<aelius> the moonlight thing was a red herring
<aelius> It happened while I was using remmina, and of all things it just happened while I was using firefox. But with a twist!
<aelius> instead of just not being able to interact with clients, the cursor is stuck in one client (firefox) and offset by some x,y
<aelius> as in, I can see things responding to mouseover events

<leon-p> Ireozar: thanks for the heads-up, will clean it up now. Also, hi :)
<leon-p> codeberg has been getting DDosed a lo in the past, I suspect the LLM spam is just another play of those people, since I see no benefit anyone would ever get out of spamming slop
<leon-p> although I do wonder why they decided to change the LLMs to generate stuff with so many emojis, because that makes it trivial to filter out
<leon-p> and now they have changed it again to use slurs in the title of the issue, wow
<leon-p> that person can't be well
<bwbuhse> leon-p: probably the same sort of person who was spamming invites to channels named “child porn” or some shit like that from the LibreWolf Matrix channel a few weeks ago
<leon-p> oooofff, what a loser
<Nickli> mayeb they'r trained on discord and instagram messages
<leon-p> I don't think the generated issues replicate those slangs
<leon-p> seems more facebook-ish
<leon-p> and the usernames are very reddit-esque
<leon-p> the difference is actually very interesting. the instagram slang uses emojis more like text decorations, like ✨this✨ while on older platforms you'll often see them used as punctuation ❗
<leon-p> some linguist is probably researching that
<Nickli> reddit and facebook combined? The horror!
<aelius> These accounts each seem to be posting dozens of issues in a short time span
<aelius> I'd have thought this would be pretty low hanging fruit for filtering

<lordmzte> I've recently been getting river segfaulting at seemingly random times while using my graphics tablet. This is the backtrace from systemd-coredumpd: https://gist.github.com/LordMZTE/42155de1d276c11f5551defb32f35b18 Is this a river bug, a libwayland bug, or a libinput bug?
<vyivel> probably wlroots
<vyivel> although proximity event is only used in wlr_cursor there and it looks fine
<ifreund> lordmzte: go ahead and open a river issue with that stack trace so it doesn't get lost :)

<Guest53> guys, sorry for my eng. I'm stuck... I install the RiverWM  and did not know, how to increase (scale) my monitor config. Need use external progs for this or i can use riverctl for this case? I read man files and did not found about monitor configs (or maybe i tired). Please, give some examples. Thanks alot
<Guest53> External - wlr-randr or something else...
<Guest53> P.S. My monitor is 4k, on Sway before i prefer "scale 3"
<vyivel> pretty sure you'll have to use an external program
<vyivel> try kanshi
<Guest53> but on Sway i have 2 problems (maintainers and keyboard input in native wayland). Remmina with custom Dvorak works ugly on Sway...
<Guest53> thanks for answer, vyivel.
<Guest53> so, u put in init file this string ? like a wlr-randr scale blah-blah?
<vyivel> wlr-randr --output <output-name> --scale 3
<vyivel> if i remember correctly
<Guest53> thanks a lot.
<Guest53> Well, i want to ask another question about layouts in River, on DWM i use before monocle layout. I read about rivercarro, but on Archlinux Zig lang is older, than needed (0.13). Where i can download compiled version of this layout?
<Guest53> done.
