[scopehal-apps] azonenberg 0c04bcb - VulkanWindow: trigger a resize event if framebuffer size doesn't match the most recently saved size. Fixes #824 (I think)
<d1b2>
<vipqualitypost> Will do, but away at a conference until monday.

<helaslo> Hi This commit fixed a long-standing issue for me, it was not the same as in #824, rather than the mouse cursor and the texture was detached, (sorry, I wasn't able to make a ticket for it, screen capture didn't work on that machine at the time) now it works correctly, thank you so much. By the way this was the reason I previously made a (rather ugly) patch to use SDL2, it worked fine there (platform was OpenSuse Tumbleweed, KDE, Wayland), but
<d1b2>
I haven't been able to make clean up that since, for study reasons
<d1b2>
<azonenberg> So were you also having the #824 issue?
<d1b2>
<azonenberg> or only this other bug?
<d1b2>
<azonenberg> and is it generally behaving properly for you now?
<d1b2>
<helaslo> Something similar, if I had to describe it, the image got stretched, but the mouse coordinates remained in the same absolute position as if the window wasn't resized
<d1b2>
<helaslo> Now it is much better, the only problem is the scaling is off, and that results in much larger than needed graphics elements in the filter graph and the right filter addition toolbar (using wayland, on Framework 13, with the 2.8K screen, 200% scaling)
<d1b2>
<azonenberg> Please share a screenshot, I thought we had solved most of the scaling issues by this point
<d1b2>
<azonenberg> and file a ticket
<d1b2>
<helaslo> Okay, will do soon
<d1b2>
<azonenberg> I may or may not get to it before the v0.1 release, minor "app is still usable" annoyances are probably going to get bumped since v0.1 is already seven months late of when i had hoped to release it lol
<d1b2>
<azonenberg> so at some point we need to just put our feet down and tag a release, whatever we're at :p
<d1b2>
<helaslo> No problem, thanks for the awesome project 😄
<d1b2>
<azonenberg> at this point basically what's left is macos binary packaging/installation, a few shaders that don't handle large waveforms properly on intel iGPUs, one scaling related issue that may possibly solve your problem but probably is unrelated, and finishing the timebase dialog / sidebar integration
<d1b2>
<azonenberg> (basically removing the legacy double-click-on-timebase dialog since half that functionality is in the sidebar already, moving the rest of the functionality of that dialog into the sidebar, and fixing the bug where the sidebar wouldn't sync if you made changes elsewhere)
<d1b2>
<azonenberg> and then unless any showstopper bugs show up between now and when we close those four tickets we'll tag a release
<d1b2>
<azonenberg> then i can start work on all the stuff that I bumped for 0.2
