jonmason:yeah for 32bit, I think either we need to use multilib or add new tunes, we need to build 32bit toolchains ( arm-*-* ) aarch64-*-* does not cut it for this case

so, without js built into polkit, I have troubles giving a user or anyone else permission to do reboot via d-bus org.freedesktop.login1.Manager
<ak77>
(root can do it - others get PermissionDenied)
<ak77>
anyone know how to deal with this? backup plan is to have systemd service run under root to watch for /tmp/reboot-me file
<ak77>
and do the job

hmm. what program is even doing the polkit role
<mcfrisk>
ak77: duktype vs mozjs? Or fully disabled js in polkit? I presume fully disabled js needs a lot of changes in the config

/duktype/duktape/
<ak77>
I might found my problem... seems like i don't have polkit at all. (altough .policy files are present). it was bringing whole mozjs .. .
<mcfrisk>
ak77: try duktape instead, it has slightly reduced js syntax but may work out of the box with defconfig and your setup too, and builds a lot less
<ak77>
and it can't build without mozjs/duktape... as I would be fine with .xml only.
<ak77>
used to be enough to allow stuff in dbus-config

oh. maybe it does. I was solving it for system dbus, not session dbus :facepalm:

no, that can be it. login1 is at system dbus only i guess
