<bonda_000> clever: do you know of any good python3 .pyc-code decompilers?
<bonda_000> clever: someone asked me to work with a piece of software recently, and for python3.8 there was not a good one, only pylingual.io
<bonda_000> all the open-source ones produced garbage
<bonda_000> but pylingual.io is online one, I believe its a neural net ran by some Texas university

<bonda_000> clever: is your machine powerful enough?
<bonda_000> clever: because this one can do all sort of quantum simulations, and that requres plenties of RAM (128GB-256GB) and a good GPU like RTX3090
<bonda_000> I unfortunately have only one 4GB ram stick and happen to have an office computer rather than engineering one
<bonda_000> but maybe this could be of use to you
<clever> 2025-07-06 15:50:22 [libera] DCC can't connect to 127.0.0.1 port 57123
<clever> bonda_000: your dcc is still mis-configured, its telling me to get the file from myself
<bonda_000> what is DCC
<bonda_000> well I'm using tor socks proxy, so I connect via 127.0.0.1:9050 which is my tor daemon
<bonda_000> maybe need to look into settings more
<bonda_000> aah
<bonda_000> "File transfers" in the network setup hasn't been configured (hexchat)
<bonda_000> how about now
<bonda_000> I put the tick "Get my address from the IRC server" in the File Transfers tab
<bonda_000> maybe need to restart
<bonda_000> it still shows me 127.0.0.1

<bonda_000> no its not working
<clever> bonda_000: dcc wont work over tor, dcc requires you to be listening on a publicly accessible port, and the irc client sends me your public ip
<bonda_000> I think its because I dont know what exit node I'm talking through right now
<bonda_000> yeah
<bonda_000> there's no way to tell
<bonda_000> okay

<bonda_000> I guess I have to use my real IP and hope that it is not blocked like it is for IRC protocol
<bonda_000> clever: try now
<bonda_000> shouldn't be a problem if its peer-to-peer
<clever> bonda_000: still fails to connect, your router needs to forward that port to your machine
<bonda_000> my isp blocks a lot of ports
<bonda_000> clever: I'll just upload it to a file hosting
<bonda_000> clever: https://gofile.io/d/D0Jk87
<bonda_000> clever: you need to fix it after install, replace python38.zip in the install directory "lib" folder with the one provided
<mingdao> bonda_000: all ur base r belong to us
<bonda_000> but like I said there is no point running it if you don't have at least 128GB ram
<bonda_000> or you are paying aws
<bonda_000> and their hpc
<bonda_000> one time I ran it, on low precision it took up 70GB in the swap file
<bonda_000> and ran for a month with no result
<bonda_000> I mean it is a pretty cool phenomenon that nanoparticle, or so called quantum dot, when excited, begins to emit light to ground itself
<bonda_000> so in this software you can simulate their properties, wavelength and so on
<bonda_000> among other things
<bonda_000> I just got one of the Sony RNV's the last one actually, with quantum dot laser-based viewfinder
<bonda_000> it is still a bit 2D so this technology-AR/VR needs a scene maker of some sort
<bonda_000> its an eye projector essentially its called Retissa
<bonda_000> made by QD Laser which is Japan
<bonda_000> but it projects a 2D picture with an array of lasers, unlike depth perception we obtain from light reflecting off of the objects
<bonda_000> and traveling to the eye which makes it
<bonda_000> so if one could make a miniature scene, and have a light source, then amplify it with lens, that could give depth perception to VR
