Hi guys. I have a question for Rockchip knowing folks
<antoan>
I'm trying to run stock linux on rk3568 android board, and have some difficulties with it. I'm basing my linux distro on Yocto and meta-rockchip layer using kernel 6.12.
<antoan>
But after u-boot passes control to the kernel, nothing happens. The last message printed to uart is starting kernel

depends what boot loaders, device trees, SPI/SPL flashes etc, a lot can go wrong
<user21>
CounterPillow: I'm declaring success. Rock 5b+ with 6.14.5 kernel and NPU is working !

got all the patches and mistakes squared out
<user21>
used armbian build framework with support from this forum, shuffled a few things around and made it work
<user21>
how do I contribute all this into a nice looking package ?

user21: one option is to just wait for the Mesa and kernel changes for the NPU are merged, they'll arrive in nice looking packages in distros eventually :)
<sigmaris>
user21: as far as hiring kernel developers, Tomeu mentioned on https://blog.tomeuvizoso.net/2025/05/rockchip-npu-update-5-progress-on.html that he was wishing to make faster progress on it but had to take some other work to pay bills. If your company values the upstream support, maybe they could sponsor Tomeu's work on the NPU, and that would help it get upstreamed and into distro packages

talked this morning with him, but we need more hands in addition to that

user21: https://www.collabora.com/contact-us.html - additionally you can also contact Collabora (who I currently work for), we have a few people working on Rockchip mainline stuff and we do contract work for customers looking to use it
