<mwalle> NishanthMenon: but customers still have the option to run differnt things on that uC, still don't mean that TI has to hardcode everything that just fits their EVM :)

<NishanthMenon> mwalle: if you dont mind, could you provide direct feedback on e2e.ti.com -> it then ends up as officially tracked. Unfortunately, firmware teams in TI are'nt as matured as we'd like to think.. customer feedback helps them keep the focus straight
<NishanthMenon> mwalle: i agree with you that hardcoding is a no no.

<mwalle> NishanthMenon: honestly e2e is a big waste of my time
<mwalle> NishanthMenon: so the easiest way (and there might be some implications regarding different cores) is to just enable linux to power off the board directly
florian_kc is now known as florian
<NishanthMenon> mwalle: thanks for putting in there. do look at system-power-controller property in linux
<mwalle> NishanthMenon: thanks for the hint!
<mwalle> NishanthMenon: do you know if thats working with the ti,tps6594-q1 for example? The binding lists it as a valid property, but i cant find it in the driver sources
<mwalle> neither of_device_is_system_power_controller() nor "system-power-controller"
<mwalle> NishanthMenon: but anyway, I have a patch to support the TPS652G1 (which is a stripped down version of the already supported TPS65224) pending and I can just add support then
<NishanthMenon> mwalle: i am in a meeting series atm

<NishanthMenon> mwalle, looks like the tps6594 driver is missing it.. but should be trivial to add in https://www.irccloud.com/pastebin/Pf7CFoIJ/
