<therealprof[m]> I'm afraid I can't make the meeting tonight. Have to show a group of people around in Munich. You can join if you happen to be around. 😉

<adamgreig[m]> I'm afraid I can't either, absolutely hammered at work and every hour counting, sorry all! Normal Adam service hopefully set to resume next week...

<RyanStreur[m]> Hi all! My name is Ryan and I just took Bart Massey's Rust Embedded course while I pursue a CS master's after about 5 years in industry. I asked him if there was any way I could make myself useful to you all, and he said I should start by introducing myself and tuning into the working group meeting, so here I am!

<bartmassey[m]> Hi Ryan! Looks like it might be a short meeting today. 😀
<bartmassey[m]> Who wants to run things?
jannic[m] has joined #rust-embedded
<jannic[m]> Look like nobody is too interested this week?
<bartmassey[m]> I'm happy to do it if you or others of the usual suspects would prefer. We have a huge agenda this week by our standards, but if no one wants to work on it that's a thing too 😀
<jannic[m]> A lot of interesting stuff on the agenda, but I don't see anything particularly urgent.
<bartmassey[m]> @room Please vote go or skip!
<jannic[m]> Are we enough attendees to do anything meaningful on the agenda items?
<bartmassey[m]> Looks like 14?
JamesMunns[m] has joined #rust-embedded
<JamesMunns[m]> (I also have to run shortly, unfortunately!)
<jannic[m]> It's mostly "what should we do with..." questions, as far as I can tell. Perhaps some are uncontroversial enough?
<bartmassey[m]> Yeah, I think there are a few that are reasonable, plus a few announcement-ish things. Let's do a quick meeting and see how it goes. One sec…
<bartmassey[m]> @room Meeting time! Agenda at https://github.com/rust-embedded/wg/discussions/846
<bartmassey[m]> Anyone have an announcement?
<bartmassey[m]> Ok. First up, the repository archiving.
<jannic[m]> The patterns and template repos do not contain any actual content, do they? I'd say they can go.
<bartmassey[m]> I am broadly in favor of archiving anything and everything that is no longer particularly relevant and is not being maintained. I would probably just outright remove some of those repos as no longer worth retaining. Counterarguments?
<bartmassey[m]> jannic: Hard agree
<jannic[m]> Also no history - just setting up the bare structure of the repo, and then silence.
<bartmassey[m]> Watching the Matrix and it seems like it's being unbelievably laggy. Am I missing something?
<bartmassey[m]> Or is it that we're just down to a couple of participants?
<jannic[m]> I only see you writing.
<jannic[m]> So either there's some kind of netsplit (is this a thing with matrix?) or we are alone.
<bartmassey[m]> I'm seeing the "read" icons move down slowly.
<jannic[m]> True.
<bartmassey[m]> Let's do a quick X-up. Everybody type X in chat.
<jannic[m]> X

<mali[m]> X, mainly lurking.
<jannic[m]> Ok, matrix is alive.
reto[m] has joined #rust-embedded
<reto[m]> X and +1 on that :)
<bartmassey[m]> Leandro Marceddu: Lurkers aren't useless, but understood.
<bartmassey[m]> It looks like we really don't have quorum this week. I vote we skip after all.
<jannic[m]> I think Ralph could be right that there are more repos that could be archived. I'll try to keep an eye on it when triaging tickets.
<jannic[m]> And yes, I don't think we should decide anything today.
<bartmassey[m]> Alright. Someone should probably do something with next week's agenda to make sure that this week's items are preserved: help appreciated. Meeting adjourned: thanks all.
<romancardenas[m]> Thank you!
