Hi, I managed to mess up and I need to reinstall the linux-version/.config as mentioned in the note (in the handbook) is installed by the setup script, I tried rerunning setup and I checked the script itself
<erilun06>
Assuming newroot is mounted on /mnt, what do I run to replace the one I messed-up with the one that the setup-script installs?
<erilun06>
not used to this IRC client, sorry for the multiple of the same message
<erilun06>
solved it!

ppetrov^: I am currently installing crux on hardware, like I talked about a few days ago. wish me good luck(this is erik_)
<r0ni>
<ppetrov^> r0ni, you there?
<r0ni>
i know it was 5 days ago, but i'm periodically here lol
<r0ni>
but if you found an issue or something, feel free to pm it or what-not
<erilun06>
I just got the kernel compiled with the default generated .config (maaaan suckless ii is pretty cool, but not really usable out of the box(without writing a script/wrapper-thingy)) but my sauna is gonna be ready in like a minute, and i´m off to bed after that...
<ppetrov^>
r0ni, your xfce works wel, there might ba an issue or two
<ppetrov^>
erilun06, there's a user contributed config
<ppetrov^>
you can copy it before you chroot, like cp /crux/kernel/contrib/config-6.12.23-modular /mnt/usr/src
<erilun06-ii>
I don't know... \/crux is not found for me: ls \/crux
<erilun06-ii>
ls: cannot access '/crux
<erilun06-ii>
'
<erilun06-ii>
no souch file or directory
<erilun06>
sorry for the split messages and strange formatting... using cat>in with ii, so one misspress of enter will send the message
<erilun06-ii>
oh, its in /media/crux
<ppetrov^>
yes
<ppetrov^>
or, what i did was get a config from Slackware -current :P

well, I'm off to the sauna for a bit, thank's for the help, I might actually end up installing this on my main system in the future, it seems really quite cool, and assuming the programs I use on the daily is actually available,(or if I can port them to crux from arch/aur) I might really like it
