i did some more tests with these 2 files. when i concat them using -filter_complex and accurately specify all the streams then there's no problem

but if i do the -f lavfi -i mylist.txt way then the audio of the 2nd file is delayed by a few seconds

i matched the resolutions framerates and SAR and DAR and they have the same colorspace. what else could be wrong

i guess the problem is i want to concat 10 files and the concat filter is the only thing that works. but that would mean a gigantic command line i think

so what i did was convert the 2 files to new ones that had same res, framerate, sar, etc. but still failing to join them with the first 2 concat methods. only filter works and only if i specify the streams with the [n:a/v] syntax

in the past when i dealt with segmented stuff, i would always cat the audio and video seperatly, then mux them

I have a fmp4 hls stream, av1 and aac, when I play it back with ffplay directly it plays fine with picture and sound, but when I try to pipe it to ffplay with ffmpeg I get an error, Could not find codec parameters for stream 1 (Audio: mp3 (mp3float) ([3][0][0][0] / 0x0003), 0 channels, fltp): unspecified frame size... where can I find/set the frame size? I've tried increasing -probesize but that
