Hi all, I'm stuck and could use your help, i'm trying to encode an SD m2v+wav to IMX30 mxf, once I add the "-f mxf_d10" i'm getting an error about index unit size, if I remove the mxf_d10 - it outputs where first frame is black, any ideas for me?

Hi there, I'm using FFmpeg 7.1.1 and trying to convert a h264 RTP video stream from 0.1 FPS to 25 FPS mpegts but it's outputting all of the duplicate frames at the same time (every 10 seconds). Is there a way to make the output frame interval more uniformly spaced across the 10 second input frame interval? Here's the command I'm running: ffmpeg
<rjw>
Not sure if my message went through. I have a notice that the nickname I chose is already registered
rjw is now known as rjw_
<furq>
not sure if there's any good way to get around that
<furq>
maybe piping to another ffmpeg would work
<furq>
that might still have the same issue though
<rjw_>
I'm trying to change the FPS because the decoder appliance thinks the stream has timed out after a few seconds of no data. I thought I could trick it into staying active by increasing the FPS with duplicate frames :(

<furq>
seems like that actually does work

<furq>
do the fps conversion in the first ffmpeg, then -c:v rawvideo -f nut - | ffmpeg -re -i - -f mpegts udp://...
<rjw_>
Okay let me give it a shot
<furq>
also -f mpegts with no codec specified defaults to mpeg2video with default settings which probably isn't what you want

Well, the fps filter will see that it has to duplicate that frame a ton of times
<BtbN>
and it has all the info to do that, so it just dumpts it out a couple hundred times, with increasing timestamps

<furq>
yeah there's -readrate but no -writerate
<furq>
not a very common problem i guess
