i don't remember the exact stats, but i think the single-core performance is about 40% better than the jh7110 for things like compiles

unfortunately, i'm on a busy work project since mid-march, and haven't had much time to play with it.

i saw that front panel thing on discord. i need to hook it up to a display and perform an upgrade to see if a newer kernel fixes it. right now i just use the switch on the power supply to turn it off/on
<sixbitslacker>
haven't need to worry about it since my megrez is on 24x7, i use it for stuff around the house (databases, dhcp server, etc.). overpowered for that, but it's in a holding pattern until i get the time to continue porting software
<bjdooks>
so we've been looking at cva6, and there's a bug in the core which is known to cause issues w/linux (fpu state tracking). Should a fix also increment something like MIPMID to a new version so we can autodetet the bugfix?
<gurki>
bjdooks: do you have a link at hand which shows some details on said bug? :)
<bjdooks>
nope, colleague just reported it, they seem to have a hack in theire linux kernel which they then unhacked
