<d1b2> <robots01> Here is a test server that i put together very quickly. It works fine 🙂
<d1b2> <robots01> However there is no reconnect from ngscopeclient when server restarts.
<d1b2> <azonenberg> Yes, recovery from disconnects is something that would be nice to have (in general, not just in this particular driver)
<d1b2> <azonenberg> the long term goal is to be able to both auto-reconnect and to cleanly fall back to an offline mode if that fails
<d1b2> <azonenberg> but it's nontrivial to implement
<d1b2> <azonenberg> auto reconnect scopehal side would probably be easier but still not trivial

<joshua_> florolf, https://photos.app.goo.gl/VKeYJEuK7yFc4AYc9 Ok, I have the coefficients all converted, and I have a usbtmc app on a Raspberry Pi Pico serving all the data that the SVA1032X seems to care about. Obviously the calibration ends up bogus because the SOLT being OOOO. But it's pretty close, now I just need to wire it up into LibreCAL fw.
<d1b2> <miek__> ooh, nice!
<d1b2> <miek__> i've been meaning to do similar for my vna, but my "temporary" solution of a remote python script seems to have become permanent 😅
<joshua_> if you count my time, I'm probably deeper into this project than I am the cost of the VNA, but, you know.
<florolf> joshua_: nice!
