does program-avr-spi read command not work? It just gave me the chip ID bytes, exactly the same as "identify" command

Hmm, you're giving it files as parameters even though you're reading and not writing? Why?

Nice. Note that some other software handles reading erased pages differently. IIRC, Glasgow doesn't do anything "special" so erased pages read as all ffs
