09:14 <jn> it depends not so much on the purpose of an application (web server, LCD user interface, etc.) but on the syscalls it uses. specifically, fork is problematic

11:43 <GrahamNorth> jfsimon: Well the primary use is automotive embedded stuff so no webservers etc. Yes if you are not using virtual addressing the OS will need to manage the RAM/ROM, but if this is essentially a single application use then it's less of an issue.
