Not really arm, but does anyone know if a TPM typically has a (variable?) startup time? It's interfering with my bootup. Kernel init of TPM is just a second away from userspace trying to poke it and gets delayed.

robher: the idea is to deprecate the old way then. This would have the advantage that there is no need to specify flags and period if these are implicitly clear (or not constant)
