not sure yet if I like it, but it does help when skimming over larger files I find

leon-p: is the speedbar in a separate frame the way you usually run or only for demonstration purposes?

Hello, is it possible to get a single tagset shared across monitors instead of per-monitor tagsets in River?
<dysthesis>
I'm aware that it is not possible out of the box, but I was wondering if it'd be possible for me to write a script or even a custom layout to achieve that, or if that's just entirely out of the question no matter how much I hack at it?
<dysthesis>
I've been looking to move to river from dwl, but that is the only thing stopping me so far.
<leon-p>
LarstiQ: usually I have a package (sr-speedbar) which allows opening the speedbar in the same frame, which works better on a tiling desktop. but since my new WM won't be tiling anymore, I am experimenting with keeping it as a separate frame
<leon-p>
dysthesis: I do not think it's possible to do that. However, rivers window management will be replaced by a window management protocol and after that it should be possible to write a WM featuring a single set of tags across all outputs

ifreund: have you tried out the delta events yet? I think they might be a bit high, my windows are running away, but WAYLAND_DEBUG tells me I am moving windows exactly according to the deltas I get...
<ifreund>
leon-p: moving and resizing was working perfectly for me with rivercompat at some point
<ifreund>
leon-p: still seems to work perfectly with rivercompat for me...
<leon-p>
weird
<leon-p>
I'll investigate more later
<ifreund>
does rivercompat work for you? It's meta+left to move and meta+right to resize
<leon-p>
indeed it does, must be something wrong on my end then
