<seli> hello! i am looking to be able to access the title of the focused window. is this provided in riverctl and i am missing it? currently to my understanding i just need to write a little helper program that will interact with the seat directly to query

<szgy> @seli: not river itself but you can use the lswt (https://git.sr.ht/~leon_plickat/lswt)

<leon-p> depending on the use case lswt is probably good, except if you want something evented, when you want to trigger something based on currently focused window title; In that case a program using the river-info protocol would be the way to go

<szgy> doesn't lswt have a --watch flag?? didn't know about river-info protocol!
<TheAnachron> indeed.
<leon-p> it does, but depending on usecase it may not be the right thing here
