jaeger changed the topic of #crux to: CRUX 3.8 | Homepage: https://crux.nu/ | Ports: https://crux.nu/portdb/ https://crux.ninja/portdb/ | Logs: https://libera.irclog.whitequark.org/crux/
<brian|lfs> jaeger, greeted is just broken on Debin it wouldn't let me log off lol
<jaeger> bummer
<brian|lfs> on crux when I log off the keyboard doesn't work so not sure which is worse
<jaeger> Well, try a different greeter, I guess
<brian|lfs> ok does crux have other ones
<jaeger> greetd comes with its own, agreety... other than that, check the portdb :)
<brian|lfs> ok
<jaeger> If you have a particular favorite, feel free to make a port for it
<brian|lfs> hmm agreety does nothing when I start greetd

<r0ni> i think i have a few online
<r0ni> https://lngn.net/crux/rektports/ regreet, nwg-hello both use greetd
<r0ni> i wouldn't use the port dir httpup file tho, i don't really maintain it as-is
<r0ni> can steal the ports tho
<r0ni> regreet is nice
<r0ni> tho that's outdated, there's a 0.2.0 now
<r0ni> wow i'm an idiot, i have a updated working port in my personal ports https://github.com/mac-a-r0ni/crux-ports-macaroni/
<r0ni> but yeah still don't use the httpup cuz there's stuff there for arm64 that's really make you have a bad day
<braewoods> ... Right. Maybe it's time for prt-get to recognize some form of architecture support?
<r0ni> well tbh its not in the pordb for a reason
<r0ni> i generally share if a port is universally useable, but some things are there just cuz they were or are broken on arm64 and/or don't exist (like rust-bin)

<darfo> mesa 25.1.5 breaks my intel graphics. eglino says eglinfo: eglInitialize failed for all platforms
<darfo> revdep didn't report anything need rebuilding but rebuilt obvious consumers of mesa and didn't help
<darfo> fellback mesa to 25.1.4 and all is good again
<braewoods> brian|lfs, from my perspective, it's the network not the channel if you want something to blame.
<brian|lfs> Agree meant to blame the network last night

<brian|lfs> chromium said no more it wouldn't open had to reboot
<darfo> tim: I put back the iris driver and eglinfo is happy again. The -D shared-glapi=enabled meson option wasn't needed so left it out. Thanks for the pointer.
<brian|lfs> I saw glapi=enabled disabled for something I was working on that needed to be don't recall what
<cruxbot> [xorg/3.8]: mesa: added back iris driver
<cruxbridge> <tim> darfo: cheers, I added it back. sorry for the noise ;)
