ppetrov^, i doubt it. generally packagers prefer a generic set of variables that will influence most packages for the main header. those would only be useful for cmake packages.
<braewoods>
If pkgmk supported some sort of partial files that could be included by a special group of packages, that would be a different story.
<braewoods>
... In Frugalware we had a concept like this where we had "schemas" that could be imported by specific packages to reduce how much duplication we had.
<braewoods>
Not impossible for CRUX but it just doesn't exist for it that I know of.
<braewoods>
Since Frugalware was also based on shell scripts to build stuff.
<ppetrov^>
well, i was just wondering, is all... not an issue. But since autotools is "covered" by pkgmk.conf and now more and more projects use a different build system, i was just curious
<ppetrov^>
braewoods, is frugalware still active?
<braewoods>
ppetrov^, i'd say no. it's still technically up but... just check how dead the irc is.
<ppetrov^>
ye... just checked distrowatch, they say "dormant"
<ppetrov^>
last release was 2016
<ppetrov^>
pity
<braewoods>
it was just a variation of ARCH in the end. just more packages.
<ppetrov^>
not Slackware with pacman?
<braewoods>
i guess it technically was, but... i was thinking purely of the packages.
<ppetrov^>
ah
<braewoods>
i quit the project over 10 years ago.
<braewoods>
While I was there I did fix some long standing bugs in their pacman fork.
<braewoods>
Mostly resource leaks.
<ppetrov^>
why fork it, and not just use the original on top of their system
<braewoods>
No idea. I wasn't privy to that.
<braewoods>
Or if I was I have forgotten. I came along years after it was founded.
