<MisterMinister>
Greetings! In multitrack audio TS mux, can't seem to find FFprobe syntax to show a number of audio tracks in the mux... `ffprobe -i ./10.ts -select_streams a -show_entries stream=index -of flat=s=_ 2>/dev/null` keep seeing programs_program and streams_stream, any way to select only streams? Its to run on a mobile app, so might not have access to grep/wc, etc :)

Hello. What is the argument/library i need to solve this issue with my system ffmpeg? "Automatic encoder selection failed Default encoder for format dvd (codec none) is probably disabled."
<LimeOn>
What i am trying to do is to convert a "modern" file to a DVD-like format to then burn it
<LimeOn>
Using "-target ntsc-dvd" shows me the error, seems like "-codec:v mpeg2video" is not supported for some reason
<LimeOn>
the issue also happens with BtbN/ffmpeg-builds, so i maybe need to know what is the exact name of the lib i need to compile along ffmpeg
<LimeOn>
all the internet tutorials seem to mention that option. using the whole command (shown in "man ffmpeg") to which "-target ntsc-dvd" is an alias, drops the same result
<furq_>
the m2v and ac3 encoders are both internal so there's no library to build against
furq_ is now known as furq
<furq>
not sure why you would get that error
<LimeOn>
i also checked "ffmpeg -formats" and i see: E dvd MPEG-2 PS (DVD VOB) ("E" -> .E. = Muxing supported)
<sixilli>
// Open the input file and read the header
<sixilli>
if (const int res = avformat_open_input(&format_ctx, path, nullptr, nullptr); res != 0) { ... }
<sixilli>

<BtbN>
don't flood the channel please, thanks.
<BtbN>
And you'll need to tell it that it's a file path
<BtbN>
with a url like this, it'll think C is the protocol, and the conclude that we have no C protocol handler
<BtbN>
so file://C:/ or however windows paths work with URLs

I've tried variants of file:, file:// file:/// and it did not work

Figured it out, static linking wasn't setup correctly.
cantelope has quit [Quit: Connection closed for inactivity]
<BtbN>
And that messed with its ability to open files?
<sixilli>
Yeah the way my cmake is setup, none of the DLLs from your FFmpeg Static Auto-Builds is in the same directory as the executable. I rolled back to a previous version and the executable fails to launch, but for some reason 7.1 I'm able to run my program without all the necessary DLLs.
<sixilli>
If I copy/paste all the DLLs into my build output folder suddenly everything works fine.
<BtbN>
I have no idea what that got to do with anything oO
<BtbN>
Either it finds the DLLs or it doesn't, but when it does, their location should have zero impact on FFmpegs ability to open files

I'm kinda shocked it worked that way too lol
