hey folks .. i think i have a situation where i would like to use an object .. the docs say an object can be creatd using a function .. but i have not been able to do that so far .. vectors i can make .. but how can i return an object with named elements?

hi all, https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/hand-crank-360-plaftorm I 3d printed this only to find it to be too light and getting displaced upon every turn, any nice way in mind to clamp it down? spent 10 hours printing it so don't want to reprint those parts again
<InPhase>
As in it's not sticking to the surface adequately?
<InPhase>
Or is the top part separating from the bottom?

zingos, i'd add a small motor to rotate it

id' go for a cheap stepper
<sculptor>
so you can position it as well

sorry for the delay was afk
<zingos>
InPhase: Has zero clamping at the moment on the table so as you rotate it, the whole thing gets displaced
<zingos>
Sculptor: Yes may be a great idea

bitbasher: We don't yet have full object support. There is some experimental functionality for importing JSON files. Where in the docs did you read about this?
<kintel>
OK, I take back my initial excitement about Cursor having become a lot better. It has become a lot better at deception, and to produce code which can pass a cursory review..

zingos: I think you mean that it's not sticking to the table surface there. In that case, wouldn't the simplest solution just be some double-sided tape on the bottom of it?
<zingos>
InPhase: Yes thought of that although the area under is kinda limited unfortunately... but there is some for sure so will try
<InPhase>
zingos: The available photos on that page were not very clear as to what part was up and what was down.
<zingos>
InPhase: The solid part is up, the one with the holes is the bottom
<zingos>
InPhase: With the gaps *
<InPhase>
zingos: Okay, but neither side has that. One side looks like it has three cross-bars, and the other side looked open except for a spinning bit levitating away from the end.
<zingos>
InPhase: Yes the bottom is the three cross-bars side
<InPhase>
zingos: Okay. That looks like it would be a good target side for double-sided tape them.
<zingos>
Yeah will try that
<zingos>
Thanks!
<InPhase>
zingos: If that doesn't work, a good clamp would look like something that you rotate those three bars into, with a friction fit.
<InPhase>
zingos: And then that base plate is attached however you ant.
<InPhase>
s/ant/want/
<zingos>
Yes!
<InPhase>
That would be "cooler", but a bit more design work. :)
<zingos>
Yeah, just tired of the long print for now
