12:58 <arno11> waves effect has an impact on application list. other effects make things smoother in sphone and modest for example

12:59 <arno11> and low blur effect makes things faster

20:02 <sicelo> btw (in what might please uvos), upower can handle the keyboard backlight on the Droid 4, and possibly other devices with a keyboard backlight. For N900, I'll submit a patch that, with some luck, may be in a future upower version. it takes care of (1) the non-standard naming of N900's LEDs, and (2) the fact that the 6 LEDs are independent

20:13 <sicelo> yes @ mce. i think mce can just ask upower to turn on the LED as needed. advantage is - upower already knows how to find a such LEDs via udev. mce hardcodes them. imagine one day we support another slider, e.g. FxTec Pro
