<shellhopper> Whacky thing is that I make two identical pieces, one is a mirror of the other, the first one, the difference() works, the mirror part (can't use mirror, the parts could be different) the difference seems to fail.

<shellhopper> I was making a mirror image. Stupid me, I was just adding the tapering code, and I had left a line of the old code there, that line regenerated the cube that I had trimmed.

<J25k27> stealth__ you need dry clean (oil free) air - you can buy a separator if your compressor doesn't have it.
<J25k27> i assume 800w can also cut metal but slower or thinner.  You have 50kW laser for welding ships
<stealth__> J25k27, i asked if i can use normal air compressor and they said yes! not sure whats up with it. I do have a older air compressor i use. I ended up getting the 1200W one. I do have a stick welder as well, if i really need such heavy duty stuff but haven't really used it since i bough it.

<J25k27> the laser went through a window and if that has oil or water on it (from the cooling air) it will burn heat up and destroy the optical end

<J25k27> stealth__ keep in mind that these strong handheld lasers are very dangerous - here in EU you can only use them in restricted rooms with full body armor
<J25k27> building a "microjet" for high power laser DIY is unrealistic even for low power laser it is very hard to get good optical properties.
<stealth__> J25k27, ya, no worries, i wont be stupid with it.
<J25k27> I assume the window in the water chamber could be diamond and they work with high pressure
<J25k27> i assume the head is more expensive than the laser
