<kiva> inky: did I mentioned browser that support .mov?? I think only browsers supported streaming in html page if Quicktime was installed in Mac before version OSX10.11 and PC before Win10.
<kiva> good question is did linux supported ever .mov in browser?
* inky tries to upgrade to daedalus via apt.
<kiva> dsc_: there might be something wrong with Pinephone GPU drivers too, but remember watching only FPS does not give whole information about acceleration. Compare 25 FPS with CPU 1% use vs 50 FPS with CPU 80%. What is lowest framerate in screen itself or can it update or not update freely? Video looks always better if it sync (or sync/2) with screen.

<kiva> (actuallly it waited "GPU" to say signal part of picture is send to TV)
<kiva> btw. Blu-Ray movies are 24 FPS..so I would enough happy if Pinephone can play videos at that speed someday.

<erebion> Wanted to try TV out on the N900. Wiki says I should enable a setting in Alsamixer. Noticed I have no idea how to type F1 through F12 keys, so couldn't use it. (couldn't use SSH in that situation)
<erebion> Any way those can be typed?
Pali has quit [Quit: Pali]
<sicelo> what do you need F-keys for? you can use left and right arrow to navigate. you can choose the card with `alsamixer -c 0`
<sicelo> as for tv out, iirc those instructions are outdated. something has changed (kernel, or x11?)

<inky> i think my bionic upgraded to daedalus via apt. and d4 is in progress still.
<inky> booting bionic, let's see.
<inky> kernel 6.6.53
<inky> is that fine?
